SEND

At Ryecroft Primary Academy we aim to develop resilience, integrity, kindness and curiosity in all children. We have high expectations of all children and strive to ensure that all children reach and exceed their potential. Children with SEND are no exception. We aim to meet children's needs through quality first teaching, effective inclusion and targeted support, when appropriate.

The Local Offer has been developed as part of the new Children and Families Act. It aims to provide information on education, health and social care provision available for disabled children and young people and those with special educational needs, in a way that can be accessed quickly and easily.

From the 1st September 2014, under Section 65 (3) (a) of the Special Educational Needs (Information) Regulations, all schools are required to publish an SEN Information Report on their school websites.

This report must contain SEN information as is set out in the Schedule, as well as utilising the Local Authority (LA) Local Offer. Consequently, the report should meet the needs of SEN pupils as determined by school policy and the provision that the school is able to determine.
